The Islay single malt spent its entire maturation period in an intensely flavored Oloroso sherry quarter cask, cask number 71. The smaller cask size allows for strong oak contact, which blends the distillery's typical, heavily peated character with deep sherry aromas. The single malt was traditionally condensed using classic worm tubs and bottled unfiltered and without added coloring at its natural, unadulterated cask strength.
