What does Ardnahoe Chairman's Selection taste like?
On the nose, peat smoke, maritime freshness, and dark fruit notes mingle with hints of orange marmalade, vanilla, and roasted nuts. The influence of the Oloroso casks adds further depth and a pleasant spiciness.
On the palate, the whisky is powerful and full-bodied. Smoky notes mingle with caramelized sweetness, ripe fruit, and spicy oak. Subsequently, hints of dark chocolate, dried fruit, and salted caramel emerge, lending the whisky complexity and balance.
The finish is long and intense, with lingering peat smoke, spicy oak, dark fruit, and a pleasantly dry sherry note.
