One of the first two releases of a double-aged product, 100% aged in the distillery. This rum was distilled in 2010 and aged for 8 years in ex-Bourbon American white oak casks. This was followed by 2 years in ex-Madeira casks for added depth and complexity.

Tasting Notes: Dark brown with hints of orange, this rum is very pleasant in the glass. Sweet caramel, hints of vanilla and some lingering spice and oak await you on the nose and it's somehow very warming and calming. When you sip this rum you are first met with a natural sweetness, with caramel and hints of vanilla mixing with a slight edge from the spicy notes. These spicy notes provide a slight burn that continues through the finish. As you continue to enjoy this rum, a more tropical fruity sweetness plays with these spicy notes and a more sour note starts to creep in on the finish, leaving a slight bitterness in the end.
