The release of Release 01 from 2023 matured in bourbon and American oak barrels Bn_Qa and presents itself as an incredibly complex composition. It powerfully expresses the complexity of St. Lucy, Barbados, and the terroir of the Mount Gay Estate.

How does Mount Gay Single Estate 01 taste?

This exceptional drop presents an enticing palette of scents ranging from sweet pear and ripe plum to freshly cut flowers and dried fruit. Vanilla and nutmeg give the bouquet a harmonious depth, while notes of oak and lemon add a refreshing nuance.

A fascinating interplay of aromas unfolds on the palate. The sweetness of the pineapple is accentuated by the salty freshness of sea salt, while leather and a ripe yellow banana give the taste a pleasant richness. The oak note gives the whole thing structure and complexity, while the hint of star anise gives the finish a special spice.
