The Ron Vigia 15 Anos Reserva Superior with 700 ml. and 40% vol. comes from the heart of Cuba. The rum from Cuba manages to pack the unmistakable aromas of Cuba into the bottle at a reasonable price. Cuban rum is now difficult to obtain and there are no longer any importers. The Cuban rum has notes of leather, cocoa, tobacco, vanilla and some citrus. Since it was made using the Solera process, the exact age cannot be determined. We estimate around six years of storage in oak barrels. The rum itself does not have much sweetness, is smooth and tasty. With the Ron Vigia 15 Anos, there is always some alcohol in the taste. The rum is made by Tecnoazucar in Cuba. It is said that the annual limit of bottles produced is a maximum of 5,000. The distillery also produces the Ron Mulata Anejo, Santero Rum, Siboney Rum, Bucanero Rum, Ron Vacilon Rum and Relicario Rum.

The Ron Vigia 15 Anos is made from sugar syrup. No molasses is used. This makes the rum lighter with a fruity note. It has a subtle taste on the nose and is therefore very suitable for a Daiquiri or Cuba Libre. From the taste you might think it was made from sugar cane juice, like many French rums. It is comparable to the Ron Mulata 12 Anos. If you would like a bottle of Ron Vigia 15, you should be quick. Because the distillery decided in 2018 to only produce the Ron Vigia Gran Reserva 18 Anos. The rum itself comes from a very experienced Cuban rum distillery. And if you like drinking mulata rum, the rum is a good alternative.
