William Smith a fondé la distillerie Jericho en 1822. La distillerie de la cour convenait à la production de petites quantités de whisky. En 1824, la production de whisky a commencé dans la distillerie.
En 1883, la société a été rebaptisée Distillerie Benachie. En 1913, il a été fermé.

Nez : Doux, légèrement gras, sucré, chocolat, cannelle, coquilles de cacahuètes.
Saveur : Fruité, gras, poivre, chocolat noir, bâtons de cannelle.
Finition : longue durée.
