After distillation in Scotland or mainland France, our whiskey continues to mature in the tropical climate of Martinique.

"Aikan" means "marriage" in the Arawak language. Arawak is the language of the native people of Martinique. This double aging gives it its uniqueness, its incredible character.

Whiskeys aged in these temperature and humidity conditions are very rare and known for their quality. When the angels are particularly greedy (10% evaporation per year, versus 2% in a continental climate), they are also very generous. It is known that the concentration of aromas and therefore the maturation is about 4 times faster.
