The Lost Distillery Company is an independent distillery that uses history and research to bring old whiskeys back to life. For these whiskeys young and old casks are used to create 15-18 year old whiskeys.
The Gerston distillery was established in the late 18th century, probably in 1796, in the North Highlands. In the following years, the products from the distillery enjoyed enormous popularity.
The vintage Gerston shows floral notes in the nose in combination with herbs and a hint of perfume, after which aromas of fruit and pastries unfold. On the palate, the Gerston Vintage Lost Distillery is succinctly sweet and presents notes of smoke and spice. Fruit aromas resonate in the background. The character of the whiskey is soft and full-bodied.
