Gerston Archivist is a blend of several malts with spicy, smoky and salty notes. Gerston Distillery was founded in 1796 by Francis Swanson in the county of Caithness in the Highlands. It closed permanently in 1882 due to the loss of water supply to the distillery.
The Lost Distillery Company takes great care to reproduce the styles of Scottish single malts produced after the numerous distillery closures in the 19th and 19th centuries 20th century disappeared.
On the nose: light malt bread, raisins, allspice and hard caramel.
Palate: Creamy texture, poached pears, then the clouds of smoke come.
The finish : A delicate finish with lingering smoke.
