The Talisker 8 Years Old Special Release is part of Diageo's new Special Release range. All whiskeys in this series are bottled at cask strength.
The whiskey has the typical characteristics of the Talisker Distillery, a wild and smoky single malt - 'Made by the Sea'.
The 8 year old Talisker gets its finish in former Caribbean rum pot stills.
Colour: Strong gold.
Nose: Intense, caramel, sea salt, smoky, barbecue.
Flavour: Soft, rich, sweet, spicy, classic.
Finish: Long lasting, salty, dry, some pepper.
