This opulent bottling, matured in a former Moscatel de Setúbal cask, was created as a tribute to the independent specialist retailers in the UK who have supported Nc’nean from the very beginning. Distilled in June 2017 using both Anchor and Fermentis yeasts, this whisky was bottled in November 2025 after a total maturation of eight years. It initially matured in a first-fill bourbon cask before being transferred to a Moscatel de Setúbal cask in April 2023.

The sweet, fortified Moscatel cask, reminiscent of a white port, imparts rich apricot aromas and subtle, slightly herbal nuances to the spirit. These complement the signature elegant and fruit-forward house style perfectly.

What does Nc'nean AON 17-164 UK Independent Retailers Moscatel finish taste like?

On the nose, notes of apricot jam on buttered toast unfold, accompanied by sweet porridge, delicate almond pastries, and a gentle hint of herbs.

On the palate, hints of raspberry licorice, creamy vanilla, lightly toasted brioche, and floral honey emerge, complemented by a subtle, pleasantly warming spice.

The finish reveals aromas of orange blossom, ripe nectarines, and sultanas, carried by a mildly drying, wine-like sweetness.
