Lochlea Distillery is an independent single malt distillery owned by John Campbell, based at Lochlea Farm in Ayrshire in the Lowlands. The old farm has been converted into a bonded distillery. The distillery started operations in August 2018.

Love, care and attention from field to cask have been paramount in the making of this whiskey. The family-run farm grows and harvests its own barley using draff that is used to feed local cattle. Water is raised from aquifers in the limestone deep below the steading.

From Lochlea Distillery comes the second of four planned annual releases, the Harvest Edition. This whiskey combines a trio of cask agings for a delightfully fruity profile. A combination of port casks, first fill Oloroso sherry casks and first fill bourbon casks has certainly worked its magic here in another stunning release from the fledgling Lowlands distillery.
