Laphroaig is a whiskey distillery on the Scottish Hebrides island of Islay and is owned by the Japanese-American Beam Suntory group. The distillery buildings are listed on the Scottish National Register. When making Laphroaig, malted barley is dried over a peat fire. The smoke from this peat, only found on Islay, gives Laphroaig its particularly rich flavor.
Laphroaig Triple Wood is aged in three different casks: American oak casks, sherry casks and quarter casks. Very interesting result that is second to none.

The triple maturation creates a unique blend!
The whiskey was not chill-filtered and was bottled in 2011 or 2012. There is no bottle code on the bottle, but the label was as shown in this period.
