Laphroaig Lore Islay Single Malt whiskey impresses with its extraordinary variety of flavors. When opened and poured, a seductive aroma of sweet smoke develops. Laphroaig Lore impresses with its impressive depth and complexity. With every sip, new, subtle aromas in the background are discovered. The gentle, sweet smoky taste remains always present and is reminiscent of marshmallows prepared over an open fire.
Despite the lack of an age statement on the bottle, this dram consists of a sophisticated blend of younger whiskey and precious, old distillate. The Lore contains whiskey that has been aged for up to 21 years, which is clearly noticeable, especially when compared to other Laphroaig variants such as the Quarter Cask and the Ten Year Old.
It presents itself much more smoothly and develops an impressive complexity in its aromas.
