The Laphroaig Elements 2.0 experiment aims to find out the effect of interrupting the usual 55-hour fermentation process. With a total of 115 hours of fermentation in specially ventilated barrels, Laphroaig is pushing the boundaries of whisky distillation.

What is the difference between Laphroaig Elements 1.0 and 2.0?
Laphroaig Elements 2.0 is fermented for up to 5 days, which is significantly longer than Elements 1.0. Elements 2.0 is also fruitier, but still just as smoky as version 1.0
