Lagavulin nestles in a small bay on the south east coast of Islay and produces its complex whiskeys in pear-shaped 'stills', the copper stills , her.
The intense taste of the peat can be clearly felt in these Lagavulin whiskeys.
The aging takes place in American oak barrels for 16 years.
Nose: Smoke, salt, malt, sherry.
Flavour: Oily, peat smoke, salt, sherry, wood, spices.
Finish: Long lasting and smoky.
