The name `Lagavulin` is Gaelic and means `the hollow in which the mill sits`.

Nestled in a small bay on the south east coast of Islay, Lagavulin Distillery produces complex whiskeys in pear-shaped `stills` `, the copper stills.

This Lagavulin whiskey matures for 10 years in American oak barrels.


Nose: Mild aromas, fruity, fresh, clear, some smoke, Mediterranean aromas.
Flavour: Creamy, sweet, salty, smoky notes.
Finish: Long persistent, smoky.
