The name 'Lagavulin' is Gaelic and means 'the hollow in which the mill sits'.
Nestled in a small bay on the south east coast of Islay, Lagavulin Distillery produces complex whiskeys in pear-shaped 'stills' ', the copper stills.
This Lagavulin whiskey matures for 10 years in American oak barrels.
Nose: Mild aromas, fruity, fresh, clear, some smoke, Mediterranean aromas.
Flavour: Creamy, sweet, salty, smoky notes.
Finish: Long persistent, smoky.
