Caol Ila (pronounced 'Cull Eela') is Gaelic for 'The Sound of Islay', the strait separating the Hebridean islands of Islay and Jura.

Tucked away on the rugged east coast, they have been explored there since 1846 by the Islanders produce fine smoky whiskeys.

The barley used is still malted in Port Ellen, the pure spring water comes from the nearby Loch Nam Ban limestone rock.

Nose: Smoky campfire, soapy water, damp wool, hints of mineral oils, wax.
Flavour: Soft, mildly sweet, hints of acidity, sea salt.
Finish: Long lasting, smoked , slightly sour.



Best enjoyed neat, on ice, or with a drop of water so that all the flavors can unfold.
