Aberfeldy whiskeys are made with water from the famous Pitilie Burn, which is known for its gold deposits. Aberfeldy 12-Year-Old Single Malt Scotch Whiskey is made using only barley, which is ground in the distillery's Porteus mill before being mashed and then fermented in stainless steel vats. After fermentation, the whiskey is distilled through Aberfeldy's copper pot stills and then redistilled through the spirit stills. This Aberfeldy single malt is then aged in a combination of casks formerly used to age bourbon.

Aberfeldy 12 Year Old Limited Bottling Batch No. 2905 has creamy aromas of heather, honey, peat and peaches. The single malt has a flavor that is both sweet and malty, which earned it the gold medal at the 2015 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
