This noble Caroni Rum was distilled in 1998 on Caroni's large column still.
Caroni produced extremely heavy rums and was an important part of British 'Navy Rum'. Bottled at cask strength.

Nose: Old wine cellar, wax crayons, a humidor full of cigars, pears, bandages and ointment. Taste: very oily but velvety, tobacco, milk chocolate, pears, wood spices, some machine oil, maple syrup. Finish: spicy (cinnamon), again some tobacco, gum and again some medicinal notes.
