This fantastic rum was distilled in 1991 by Trinidad Distillers Limited (TDL). TDL uses a column still distillation. This facility was acquired by Angostura in the late 1940s. TDL only uses cane molasses as a fermentation source and grows its own strain of yeast.

After 26 years of aging in ex-Bourbon oak casks, this rum was bottled “Strength of Cask” in March 2018, ie without reducing its titration and without chill filtration , to preserve all the aromas.
In the nose, the alcohol remains incredibly subtle despite the 66.2° and the rum has sweet notes of dried bananas. There are soft tannins and lots of oak on the palate.
