The Cuban Arecha Rum goes back to José Arechabala, who also founded the rum brands Bacardi and Havana Club near Havana at the end of the 19th century. However, the Arecha Rum clearly sets itself apart from these with its soft, full-bodied taste.
In the meantime, this rum has been forgotten.
Sugar cane from the Sierra Meeastre Mountains, which is known for its particularly good quality, is used for the Arecha Rum.

The Arecha Rum Dorado was made from mild Cuban sugar cane and matured
after distillation for 3 to 5 years in casks of Californian oak. This complex, amber colored rum has a very distinct aroma profile. Caramel, exotic fruits, honey and vanilla are noticeable on the nose.
On the palate, these aromas unite with a delicate oak note, finally ending in a long, warming aftertaste.
