James Burrough, the founder of Beefeater, applied his scientific knowledge to the art of distillation after studying pharmacy and revolutionizing the world of gin forever. With the Beefeater production, he defined the rules of the London Dry Gin, the world`s best-selling premium gin recipe.
Burrough`s Reserve Beefeater Gin is therefore an evolution, a gin distilled using an old copper still from the 1800`s, the same one used by Dr. Burrough was used. The gin then rests in oak barrels, which were previously used for the production of the French fortified wine Jean de Lillet.
