The Rising Reserve series consists of a range of 5 different releases featuring hand-picked casks of the oldest and most interesting single malt from Teeling whiskey's warehouse.
The first release in the Rising Reserve series, No.1, is a 21-year-old Irish single malt that was initially matured in ex-bourbon casks and then underwent a second maturation phase in high-quality Carcavelos casks. Carcavelos is a white port wine from the Portuguese municipality of the same name, west of the capital Lisbon.

The nose of this Irish whiskey is caressed by a bouquet of fresh green apples, sweet citrus fruits with a hint of honey and a hint of cotton candy. The taste is revealed by stewed fruits that dance in a caramelized melange with woody tannins and a fine note of cinnamon. A long-lasting finish pampers the palate with elegant woody notes and an intense hint of roasted cocoa that completes the taste experience.
