The Tomatin Distillery's Portuguese Collection shows the outstanding influence of the various Portuguese wine casks in the maturation of the whiskeys. In total, the Portuguese Collection includes three bottlings: Madeira, Moscatel and Port. The Highland whiskey was distilled on September 8th, 2006 and then aged for 8 years in traditional Scottish whiskey oak casks. From April 23, 2015, further aging took place for 7 years in barrels from Moscatel de Setúbal.
