The Macallan is launching a new range.
The Triple Cask Matured series forms a trilogy of The Macallan 12 Years Old, 15 Years Old and 18 Years Old.
It solves the well-known Fine Oak row off. The content remains the same, only the name and design of the bottle change.
The type of storage differs for the three whiskeys only in length.
In addition to European and American sherry casks, former American bourbon casks are also used used.
The age of all whiskeys is in the foreground here, with each individual telling its own cask story.
The Macallan 18 Years Old Triple Cask Matured matures in a combination of European and American oak as well as in American ex-Bourbon casks.

Nose: Exotic, dried petals, coconut, vanilla oranges.
Flavour: Soft, velvety, citrus aromas, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon.
Finish: Long lasting, orange peel, Smoke Flavors.
