Stratheden Archivist is a malt blend with sweet notes (caramel and fruitcake) that develop into more intense aromas of iodine and spice. Stratheden Distillery was founded in 1829 by Alexander Bonthrone in the Lowlands near Fife. After the recession and Prohibition, it finally closed its doors in 1926.
The Lost Distillery Company made it their mission to reproduce the styles of Scottish single malts produced during the numerous distillery closures of the 19th and 20th centuries th century were lost. The Archivist range consists of small batches of exceptional blended malts. Each bottle is numbered and bottled at 46% with no chill filtration or added coloring.
