William Smith founded the Jericho Distillery in 1822. The court distillery was suitable for producing small quantities of whiskey. In 1824 whiskey production started in the distillery.
In 1883 the company was renamed the Benachie Distillery. In 1913 it was shut down.

Color: Gold.
Nose: Mild, slightly oily, sweet, chocolate, cinnamon, peanut shells.
Flavour: Fruity, oily, pepper, dark chocolate, cinnamon sticks.
Finish: Long lasting.
