The first Gerston distillery was a family business with a small, very high quality production. It existed for over 80 years.
The second Gerston distillery was an industrial distillery. Its capacity was ten times that of the first distillery. In 1886 the second Gerston distillery opened and became the largest and most modern distillery in Scotland.

Nose: fruity, somewhat oily, sweetish, apples, pears.
Flavour: full-bodied, fruity, smoky, pepper, oranges, dark chocolate.
Finish: Long lasting.
