With the Smokehead Twisted Stout Islay Single Malt, the Scottish company Ian MacLeod presents another limited bottling of their Smokehead brand, which is very popular with whiskey fans. Launched in May 2022, the single malt Scotch whiskey was, like all of the brand's whiskeys, distilled on the island of Islay. It was then matured in ex-Bourbon casks, partly given a finish in ex-Stout casks. Only available in limited quantities, Islay Single Malt Scoch Whiskey is characterized by an intense aroma with the maritime notes typical of an Islay whisky, accompanied by enticing aromas of sweet chocolate and toffee. On the palate it is rich and multifaceted with a successful mix of aromas with notes of smoke, chocolate, roasted nuts, marshmallows and vanilla ice cream and a pleasant finish with a malty note.
