Port Charlotte SYC:01 was matured for the first time in Syrah casks, opening up a new dimension in the
«Cask Exploration Series». The result takes the heavily peated whisky to a very high level.

The influence of the wine combines harmoniously with the elegant peat smoke of the single malt and unfolds aromas of juicy berries, sweet strawberry notes and a hint of warm citrus fruits.

What does Port Charlotte 2013 SYC: 01 Single Malt taste like?

The nose reveals a mixture of caramel, fresh apples and apricots, accompanied by light peat smoke, wood and spices.
On the palate, charred oak and barbecue smoke combine with sweet honey notes, complemented by herbal nuances.
The finish is characterized by fruity sweetness, oak, gentle peat smoke, roasted nuts and a hint of salty seaweed.
