The Mac-Talla Virgin Oak Limited Edition was fully matured in heavily charred virgin oak and bourbon casks from the Kelvin Cooperage in Kentucky. This cask selection gives the Islay whisky an unusually soft and sweet flavor: gentle smoke meets vanilla, muscovado sugar, dried fruits, and delicate spices.

Morrison Distillers handled all steps of this bottling – from cask selection to maturation and bottling in Aberargie. As the first Mac-Talla bottling with virgin oak, it offers a new, full-bodied flavor profile and adds a significantly sweeter, more approachable variant to the classic range.

What does Mac-Talla "Virgin Oak" Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky taste like?

The nose reveals intense aromas of spicy oak, caramelized apples, and the full-bodied scent of unrefined whole cane sugar. On the palate, the whisky presents itself with robust, smoky oak spice, accompanied by warm spice notes, a hint of sticky toffee dessert, and a velvety butterscotch cream.
