The Loch Lomond The Open Special Edition is one of the strictly limited single malt Scotch whiskeys that the Scottish Loch Lomond Distillery releases annually as part of their partnership with the organizers of the golf championships The Open Championship. The Open Special Edition 2021 was created in collaboration with Scottish professional golfer Colin Montgomerie.
It is a composition by Master Blender Michael Henry, who used whiskeys aged in three different American oak casks for him. After the marriage, the whiskey was finished in virgin oak casks.
