On the outskirts of Elgin in Speyside, Linkwood Distillery is surrounded by a beautiful reservoir that is home to ducks and swans. Legend has it that superstitious distillery manager Roderick Mackenzie thought the environment was so important that he refused to change a single thing. Even cobwebs could not be removed if it would adversely affect the whisky. During his tenure this rare vintage single malt was distilled.
