'The Ileach' - the name means 'The Man from Islay' - is maybe a Lagavulin of the highest peat content. A profound whiskey for all connoisseurs who appreciate this or - as it has already been said - a chunk of peat dissolves in the glass! A wonderful balance of peat, oiliness and a light, bitter-sweet note develops on the palate. Overwhelming! In the finish, the peat turns into a pleasant bitterness with oak notes. A fabulous malt.
