Icons of Campbeltown honors the Campbeltown Cross and draws inspiration from the legendary creatures that adorn the region's landmark. Icons of Campbeltown release no. 3 is dedicated to the mythical creature, The Wulver.
Who is The Wulver?
The Wulver is a mysterious creature from the Scottish folklore of the Shetland Islands. Unlike wild werewolves, it is considered friendly and reclusive, often described as having the head of a wolf or a dog. It lives in forests or along riverbanks, usually only observing travelers, but occasionally sharing fish from the rivers. The Wulver represents the wildness of nature and a quiet, protective presence.
