The 2012 Bruichladdich Organic Barley is a vintage single malt whiskey produced with a specific focus on sustainability and soil health. This whiskey comes exclusively from unpeated Scottish barley, particularly the Publican variety, grown on the Mid Coul farm. It matures entirely in fresh bourbon barrels to preserve the full flavor intensity of the grain.
With an alcohol content of 50%, it presents a remarkable clarity of flavor that includes notes of creamy caramel, sweet lemon honey and subtle spices, highlighting the elegance and balanced complexity of its organically grown barley.

How does Bruichladdich 10 Years Old ORGANIC BARLEY 2012 taste?

On the nose: Clear grain notes, accompanied by dry hay, barley straw and malty pastries. Crème brûlée, coconut, butterscotch and oak vanilla continue with earthy and floral nuances. Sweet, dried apricot and pear complete the aroma.

On the palate: The texture is creamy with a hint of peppery spice, followed by floral heather honey. Warm scones and barley straw bring warmth, while fresh vanilla, marzipan and coconut add a pleasant depth of flavor.

On the finish: The malty character remains and is accompanied by almond and butterscotch notes of oak that linger for a long time.
