The Laing family fulfilled their dream of having their own distillery with the Ardnahoe Islay Single Malt Whisky. The Ardnahoe Inaugural Release is the first limited bottling from the new Islay distillery. Distilled with soft, peaty water from Loch Ardnahoe and malted barley (40 ppm), the whisky matured for five years in former bourbon and oloroso sherry casks.

What does Ardnahoe The Inaugural Release Single Malt Whisky taste like?
The nose reveals a scent of campfires, smoked meat, bacon, toffee and baked apples. A little water also brings out a delicate note of lemon peel.
On the palate it is peppery with hints of orange citrus fruits. The smoke is present, but harmoniously balanced by a sweet toffee note. If the whisky is diluted, a pronounced lemon aroma comes to the fore.
The finish is clean and refreshing, accompanied by a hint of sea breeze.

The smoky, fruity and slightly sweet elements of the whisky can be refined by adding water.
