The limited edition Ardnahoe Society 2024 matured for 5 years in former Oloroso Sherry and former Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks and yet it is not a typical "sherry bomb". Ardnahoe Society 2024 is an extremely balanced maritime Islay whisky with an overwhelming peat smoke sherry history.
What does the Ardnahoe Society 2024 whisky taste like?
The nose reveals a gentle peat smoke, accompanied by notes of bacon and leather as well as a variety of dried fruits and berries from the quarter cask, including plums, dates, figs and various wild berries.
On the palate, a pleasant sweetness unfolds, reminiscent of plums, dates and a hint of honey. This is accompanied by the taste of salty chocolate, harmoniously complemented by a pleasant amount of smoke.
The finish is fruity and spicy and is carried by delicious Islay smoke.
