The Venezuelan rum from the CACD distillery was bottled by Rumtown after 17 years in oak barrels.
The enticing, rich nut-brown color almost belies the fact that this is a golden rum. Quickly however, the robust characteristics shine with delightful toffee notes in the pronounced nose, stimulating the senses for what follows on the palate.
There is no disappointment, the mouth is the rum with refined and smooth flavors of syrup , vanilla and spices, all rounded off with subtle notes of dark chocolate. The aftertaste gives a pleasant shine and lingers with great length that exudes quality.
