Royal Ambre is a Rhum Agricole made from the fermented juice of pressed sugar cane. This produces a more fragrant and grassy character, in contrast to the sugary profiles of other rums.

This bottle of Saint James is named 'Royal Ambré', presumably for its gorgeous golden colour. Produced on the island of Martinique, it is aged in Limousin oak barrels for between one and a half and two years.

The result is a beautiful Agricole with a sparkling and youthful character and lots of bright aromas of sugar cane and vanilla oak. The proof of 45% vol gives this rum a little more kick.
