This rhum was made with selected varieties of sugar cane from the Habitation Clément (a plantation in Martinique). Première Canne is a unique white rum created from freshly squeezed sugar cane juice, which spontaneously ferments into a highly aromatic, flavorful sugar cane wine, and then is carefully distilled only once to capture the aromas and natural flavors of its tropical origin Habitation Clément.
Rum Clément is aged in Cuban stainless steel tanks for a little over nine months and over time is reduced bit by bit with distilled volcanic spring water and converts to a well-balanced, smooth, very pure white rum full of character and a flavor that evolves towards very different from the rest of the rums in the world.
