La Maison du Rhum is an independent bottler from France. The company releases limited series with exceptional bottlings from world-renowned rum producers from important destination countries.
A veritable treasure trove of rums.
The Rhumerie Chamarel distillery is known for producing one of the best rums on the island of Mauritius. As the island's younger distillery (inaugurated in 2008), French Style Rums are made from sugar cane juice. The sugar cane used for the production comes from the distillery's own cultivation.
Maturation takes place for 9 years in fresh French oak barrels and former cognac barrels. In order to achieve this special aroma, there is a finish in used Islay whiskey casks.
