The name "Kill Devil" derives from the locally produced distillates, the Caribbean islanders, from the 17th and 18th centuries. They were known as "devil killers".

This 35 year old Jamaican rum from the Hampden Estate distillery was bottled by Hunter Laing for his Kill Devil series. Made exclusively with pot still and aged in a single cask, this rum has vibrant aromas of tropical fruits: on the nose, mango and guava mingle with leather and liquorice. The palate offers notes of sweet pear candy, ripe banana and cloves before developing notes of overripe pineapple and toasted oak. The finish is long and dry with gentle waves of smoky tobacco.
