Although the Caribbean has a long history of rum, a significant part of that history has been irretrievably lost. The Caroni Estate Distillery (established 1918) closed in 2003 and was later demolished.
Some Caroni casks later returned to the UK. Berry Brothers & Rudd, the UK's oldest wine merchants, secured some for future release. We are pleased to be able to offer you a contingent of what is undoubtedly a real pleasure for collectors and connoisseurs.
Once those are gone, they're gone forever.
