AH. Riise XO Royal Reserve King Haakon: Prince Carl of Denmark, later King Haakon VII of Norway, began his career in the Royal Danish Navy and was eventually transferred to the frigate Jylland. This bottling of rum is created by combining several distillates that are up to 20 years old. It then matures in ex-Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. Each bottle is personally filled by the Master Distiller, given an individual number and marked with the bottling date. The rum has a mahogany color and impresses with spice aromas. The taste is sweet, velvety, soft and spicy, with notes of cloves, cinnamon and oranges. The finish is long lasting and sweet. This rum should definitely be enjoyed pure.
