The AH Riise Distillery is located on St. Thomas Island, an American Virgin Island in the Caribbean. Before this island became American territory, it was a Danish colony. The pharmacist Albert Heinrich was not only allowed to open a pharmacy around the 1840s, but also to produce alcohol.

After production, the AH Riise Family Reserve Solera 1838 Superior Spirit Drink is aged in oak barrels personally selected by the Master Distiller in the Solera proceedings stored.

Before the AH Riise Family Reserve Solera was opened to the public in 1838, it was reserved exclusively for the heirs and successors of AH Riise.
