The AH Riise Distillery is located on St. Thomas Island, an American Virgin Island in the Caribbean. Before this island became an American territory, it was a Danish colony.
The pharmacist Albert Heinrich was allowed not only to open a pharmacy around the 1840s, but also to produce alcohol.

The inspiration for this one Bottling based on the original Royal Navy rum recipes. The recipes were developed by AH Riise and the rum was supplied to the fleet ships when they docked in the port of Charlotte Amalie, in the former Danish West Indies.
The AH Riise Royal Danish Navy Spirit Drink consists of various rum distillates that are up to 20 years old. It is blended by hand in small batches and is not chill filtered.
