The AH Riise Distillery is located on St. Thomas Island, an American Virgin Island in the Caribbean. Before this island became American territory, it was a Danish colony.
The pharmacist Albert Heinrich was not only allowed to open a pharmacy around the 1840s, but also to produce alcohol.
Based on years of experience, carefully selected spices and long aging in charred oak barrels, the AH Riise Black Barrel Navy Spiced Spirit Drink got its name.
Nose: Mocha, walnuts, toasted figs, hints of toasted oak.
Flavour: Notes of soft spices, dark chocolate.
Finish: Long lasting, mocha.
